Will my dog actually tolerate it?
Most do — and faster than owners expect. The trick is starting on mist mode at the paws and working up, rather than opening with a hose blast to the shoulders. The pressure is steady and soft instead of the on-off spray of a hose nozzle, which is what usually spooks dogs in the first place.
Is it safe for puppies and short-haired dogs?
Yes. The lowest settings put out a fine, low-pressure mist that's gentle on thin coats and sensitive skin. Use mist mode around the face and avoid spraying directly into the eyes or ears, same as you would with any rinse.
Will it work on a big or thick-coated dog?
That's what shower mode is for. It drives water past the topcoat and down to the undercoat on huskies, goldens, and shepherds — the part a regular hose tends to run straight off of.
Does it need batteries or charging?
No batteries required. Hydralon runs off your garden hose pressure, so you get consistent power without ever charging anything.
Can I use it indoors?
It's built for a standard outdoor hose tap. It will connect to most laundry or utility sinks with a standard threaded adapter, but it isn't designed to attach to a bathtub faucet.
Can I use my own shampoo?
Yes. Any water-soluble dog shampoo works — oatmeal, medicated, flea and tick, whatever your vet has you on. Just fill the tank and rinse it out afterward.
